If your point is that we did not catch OBL or one of his immediate assistants with his finger on a detonator while in Iraq, you are right.

However, that reasoning must be fallacious even to you.

Saddam encouraged suicide terrorists, paid them, supported them. There are contacts between high level Al Queda and those connected with Saddam. There were business deals which supported and assisted terror operations.

Besides all that, Saddam was a terrorist to his own people, the Kurds and to the Iranians.

The PR of the Bush adminstration is abyssmal. I will agree with that. But Saddam was a terrorist and a terrorist supporter and deserved to go. He deserved to be pre-empted.
