I am plain spoken, what can i say.
So, Mike, you get to decide for the country what's the most important issue, huh? Sorry, I think we all get to evaluate that for ourselves. And an argument can reasonably be made that the most "popular" choice is, by definition, the most important issue. Or an argument can be made that the majority is misguided. There's no reasonable argument that your opinion is, instead, a fact. The only reason I reacted to it is that there have been a lot of posts of the same ilk lately--that the priority of the war is the truth with the implication or the assertion that everyone who doesn't "get it" is an idiot or a ostrich or a pinko or something else uncomplementary. It's funny how we use the term "get it" to mean "know the truth" when the usage indicates, instead, that someone shares our knowing viewpoint.
IMO, plain-spoken is a good thing. Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be in the minority or I could be in the misguided majority. In any case, it's my opinion. Plain-spoken, however, isn't a synonym for accurate. <g>
So whats up with this belly dancing fetish of yours?
I don't know how that popped into my mind or into my post. I took belly-dancing classes for a while maybe twenty five or thirty years ago. It was fun and excellent exercise. And it has some peripheral benefits. It was just a hobby, part of my program to learn about everything I could to make up for a deprived childhood. I've had at least ten lessons in just about everything. <g>
I exercise mostly in the pool nowadays because it's easier on the old bones. During the part of my program that I am vertical, I exercise to music and I still include some belly-dancing steps as they are good exercise for the middle. I also include the aforementioned twist for the same reason and for its aerobic effects. I spent two or more hours in the pool every day so I need to do a lot of different things and to use music or I couldn't last that long. My hat's off to Bill if his feet and knees, etc, can handle all that dancing in a gravity environment.
Didn't go to the pool yesterday or today. I have a nasty cold and I feel like crap. So if I seem cranky, that's what's going on. |
