The chart of Income and Home prices would be even more revealing if it began ten years earlier in 1965. Home prices declined modestly from 1966 through 1974. In fact, you will notice that the high spike in home prices in 1947 was not equaled until 1976. home.pacbell.net The entire move in home prices during the 1970's occurred from 1976 through 1979.
