given the economic situations of most states and educational budgets, its hard to believe they can't get teachers these days. I wonder if those visa concerns are historical. There have been a fair number of teacher layoffs all over the country especially in the "rust belt" area. Theres one today on the layoff thread.

I'm with you though, time to figure out how to teach smarter.
