The legal "profession" is really getting out of control! Suit filed in Oklahoma says UPS negligent A lawyer in Oklahoma has filed a federal breach-of-contract lawsuit against UPS, claiming that small and medium-sized companies have been harmed because of the company's negligence. Attorney Bob Joyner filed the suit on behalf of Microm Computer Ltd., a computer maker in Norman, Oklahoma. But he has asked for class action status for the suit and says he expects the number of plaintiffs to grow. The lawsuit claims that UPS encouraged customers to continue shipping products even though it knew a strike was imminent. Since 185,000 Teamsters walked off the job, UPS' delivery volume has been less than 10 percent of normal, snarling package delivery for businesses around the country.
