It takes a true believer to find "terrible truth" and to derive a pattern from one occurrance.

No, no, no! 9/11 was NOT one occurrence! Osama bin Laden declared war on us in 1998! Since then he did the embassy bombings, the Cole, and other bombings besides, not to mention all the Al Qaeda operations since all over the world.

Our enemy has declared war on us. That much is plain fact. Now, do we regard him as a dangerous enemy, or as an occasionally annoying nutcase?

Given what he has managed already without the use of WMDs, and the various foiled plots involving ricin and other poisons, I think we are out of our heads if we don't take the threat seriously. Because we do know, and I mean know for sure, that this enemy has no scruples about mass murder of civilians. If he could do it, he would only rejoice.
