no zander wanted to be LESS vertical..he wanted to FULLY embrace linux and probably NT and amd and intel....he wanted to streamline employment and probably sell off the storage and software businesses while jettisoning sparc and sunsetting solaris...sun micro is a mess and the person that will have to clean this up has a big job...
