Okay, I'll get a hold of myself. ;-)

Pound's reputation as a poet has suffered, I believe, because of his political beliefs. In these overly-politicized times, even poets have a difficult time separating Pound's poetry from his anti-semitism, racism, etc. And it's a shame, I think, because nothing that anyone writes in the English language today -- even the Language poets and other "experimentalists" approaches what Pound wrote in The Cantos. Nothing.
