Bonnie: Off Topic That's interesting commentary on life in Sillycon Valley. My husband (a patent lawyer) has been approached a few times to go out there and work for various high tech firms, but I have resisted for that very reason. You can't really peg fair value on the real estate, and you have to work like crazy to afford a "decent" lifestyle. We are looking for a place to settle permanently (since Dallas is not nirvana either for other reasons) and while No. Cal. is very seductive in some ways, the cost in time and money to live there is too much. BTW, my husband shares your views on the fate of the market. He trades futures and you know where they think it's going!
