The Bush-Cheney-Enron phony energy crisis began as GW-Cheney were nominated. It was assumed there was a supply shortage and Cheney and Bush both stated there was, but that they alone could fix if it tax-payers built 1300 new power plants and drilled everywhere. (gee, who gets $$$ for that?) Mysteriously, the "energy crisis" ended the day after Jeffords switched parties giving Dems sub poena powers. FERC was staffed with Bushies who refused to investigate. Ed Gilespie led a 7 million dollar cover up paid for by Enron. Bush-Cheney changed the subject and snubbed Grey Davis's demand for justice. This would have been a bigger issue but first 9-11 then Iraq stole the headlines. In the meantime we have learned of Enron and others' fraudulent phantom trading practices so we know the prices spiked because of manipulation not market conditions. Of if the like the market itself was rigged. Either way it was massive fraud. Every single big player in this was a super big Bush-Cheney supporter, especially Enron. Enron shredded thousands of documents as it went under. Cheney stonewalled the coutrs and refused to show his energy papers. In fact he's taking it all the way to his buddies in the Supreme Court rather than share any info with US citizens.
