Enron gave Bush more than a million bucks plus jets, parties, operatives salaries off the books, office space, you name it. It's no wonder Bush's first choice for Secretary of Treasury was Kenny Boy Lay.

I read Enron gave more than ten million to politicians and lobbying efforts in one single year. 25% to Democrats, 75% to Republicans. $700,000 went to Ed Gillespie who now runs the RNC. The biggest Dem chunk was to Lieberman who for $250,000. CLinton didn't get much of anything from them. The reason they gave to Lieberman was that he was on the energy committee. Kerry has never accepted any such money. One Dem (Bengsen) gave Enron back the money after the scandals came out. Senator Gramm's wife was on the enron hboard and Gramm now runs the new Enron trading division re-named under new ownership. Why don't Bush-Cheney give the million bucks back and reimburse for all the big favors?
