To Sonny etc.al.... Yes we do want it to be done and maybe for once overdone. Reason, if the High paid, so called high intelligent researchers that are hired by the big brand houses do not have competition breathing down their necks, they will not work to provide us with breakthrough therapies. The big brands will just waste the money on whatever just like the Federal Government. Problem: Hasten the approval process for the ANDA's by Mylan and the other generic manufacturers and guess what, you start to remove a high stream of tax revenue from our government. Whatever is good for us the american people is normally bad for the government, due to NO competition for the government. Nothing like taking a 1 billion dollar drug and turning into a 10 million dollar drug. 990 billion dollars out of the tax base. Good for us bad for the Fed Govt. As far as switching from branded to generic and the possible side effect controversy, I believe that is hogwash about 99% of the time.
