Al, read my response to JF, #reply-19898407. Perhaps that can clear up a lot of the confusion I might have created over the whole issue. One issue I still have with your comments: He is not entitled because of what he went through...he is because he has worked and paid in the system for 40 years. It's been shown that what he actually paid was the benefits of the generation above him, and that his current benefits come from the generation below him. This is the way Social Security was originally set up to be. But that's another subject ... Tenchusatsu P.S. - Best wishes for your father.
