He had Harriet Monroe's (the founder of Poetry magagize) ear and indeed got the later Yeats, Eliot, and others published regularly. Not to mention himself!

And his love of Provencal poetry (the troubadour stuff) is everywhere in The Cantos. I've also learned more about American banking history and Confucian philosophy than I ever thought I'd know.

Giving my first solo poetry reading tonight at a nice reading series. Wish me luck.
