I pretty much agree. Kerry should not run Bush's race. He can't win on defense. At best, he comes across trying to tarnish a sitting President who is perceived as acting strongly post 9/11 and yet being somewhat incompetent.

Let the people evaluate that without the bashing that turns us off.

Kerry can win by going after those of us who are so disaffected by this extreme religious fanaticism that is behind the ridiculous efforts to deal with or prohibit, stem-cell research, gay lifestyle, abortion, prayer, marriage, steroids, drug use, etc.

If Kerry can show that he is a doer and addresses issues that the electorate feels affects them, e.g., reduce our taxes and paper work burden, bring efficiencies to government by simplifying and eliminating pork, then he has a good chance. If he, as he has so far, just screams "don't let the door hit you on the way out," I suspect he will lose, but it will be close.
