I once had a coworker whose teenage daughter made that pledge. She even had a "purity ring" given to her by her mother. And she is one of the most faithful, genuine people I know of. Is she the exception to the rule?

How many adults do you know who are honest, faithful, genuine people? The genuine part is the killer part. What makes you think that these character traits don't start in childhood? A flake usually doesn't grow up to be a model citizen.

My take on the morality of children is done on a case by case basis....just as I do with adults.

So when you made the blanket statement, "Who said people aren't hypocritical," which case were you talking about?

What? You don't think pledging to be virginal and getting laid two months isn't a form of hypocrisy?
