Factcheck is wrong!

The word since means "after a time in the past". Kerry is not comparing Bush's terrible record to the 30s, but to the period "since" the 30s.

So the headline is incorrect: "Kerry Makes Bogus Comparison to Great Depression"

The rest of the article is more accurate. Under Reagan, the economy lost 2+ million jobs in his first two years in office, but added a total of 5.2 million jobs during his entire first term! So Kerry should say that Bush has the worst job record for a Presidential term since the great depression.

That would be 100% accurate.
