Interesting move from VASO. High volume. T/A does not, however, give real buy signals (may be Monday?). But this recent move is still a good move, and possibly a start of some accumulation rather than the distribution we have experienced. Just to remind you guys, that the abstract submitted for presentation at the American Heart Association in November 1997 was submitted early May 1997, followed by peer reviewing. Commonly, researchers receive a card of acceptance (or rejection!), sometimes in August (often in mid-August).... Is the up move due to the abstract acceptance?... Future will tell... but my guess is that it has been accepted (bceause I cannot see the AHA rejecting such a clinical study, as it could have direct benefits to thousands of patients). The abstract, if accepted, would be printed in early November 1997, and presented at the AHA Meeting in Orlando during the 2nd or 3rd week of November 1997. The results would be probably released by VASO during or a few days before the meeting in November. Regarding a full article publication of the results, it is not uncommon for the paper to be published a few months after an abstract presentation (actually, you cannot publish it before the AHA meeting!). It should be clear to all, though, that the abstract is probably all what we need to know whether EECP is great or is just marginally better than placebo. Decision to buy more VASO, hold or sell, will have to be made in November, IMHO. Decision to buy VASO now, is still a gamble. I see selling now as a bad move, as there will probably be some consolidation around $2, or slightly above, while wating for real data. Good luck all. FHG. |
