Laz, many moons ago, my employer (a hospital) wanted to opt out of SS and go with a private investment plan. It didn't fly because the government informed the hospital it would cut off all federal Medicare funds if the hospital went forward with such a retirement plan for its employees. Madness! I vote with you and Chris on this one. Wholeheartedly! - Holly
