Again, you are looking at it from the wrong end. What is important is that American consumers benefit. Free trade increases residual buying power. That means that other jobs can be created in other sectors of the economy. In the long run, it means that we are in a position to be innovative, since we have to spend less on staple products. In the short run, it may create temporary dislocations, but that is the nature of capitalism, that it "churns" in response to changing business conditions. We should help people adversely affected, but not by injecting the economy with botox........
