zeus, A lot of this reminds me of the Trilateral Commission (of which Bush 41 was a member) scandals of the 70s. The Saudis are the big show for oil promoters. I know that many Saudis invested in 41's oil co. (including the Bin Ladens. To be fair, Osama has 57 brothers and sisters, some of whom are very respectable) and that he called on the BinLadens to sell a subscription to a Carlyle Group (the front for today's Trilateral Group) offering. The fact that he raised less than $2 million from a family that rich shows that they were just dropping a penny in the collection plate for show.

But the main gripe I've got is when one of their Princes won The Kentucky Derby. <G> Seriously, I don't think the Saudi royals and wealthy families love terrorism, but I do think they fund it. Sort of like protection money.
