I don't think Pakistan's nuclear weapons have anything to do with Israel. Pakistan and India's nuclear buildup occurred during the cold war due to Hindu-Muslim mutual tension going back to the creation of Pakistan.
That said though, Israel's sole possession of nuclear weapons in the middle east might help preserve Israel, but it does little for stability in the region. Iran seems to realize that if they can obtain nuclear weapons we're not going to come after them, and with them they'll be able to balance Israel's nukes.
