You're more blindly naive than I thought. I've read somewhere that ideological Commissars like yourself would sell the executioner the rope to hang them with. Now I know it's true. Just imagine how Hayek would have chortled over that.

Let me spell it out for you. The Chinese don't care if their wireless standard is better or worse, or even completely useless.

What they care about is Intel can't implement this on their own. Intel would have to work closely with a Chinese partner in order integrate the technology on Intel's chips. The Chinese want Intel to transfer their technology, without charge, to China's designated chip partner.

Luckily the people who run Intel are way ahead of you on this.

On the other hand, General Motors is stil run by some American blow-hards. They provided their state of the art technology to their Chinese partner in order to produce the Chevy Spark. Five days after the car was released, the Chinese partner released the identical automobile called the Cherry for 30% less. GM and U.S. Trade Officials said blah, blah, blah, blah, as blow-hards are wont to do while the Chinese yawned and continue to sell the Cherry. Wait till you see the successor to the Cherry.
