Let me try it this way.

Please explain to me why you think the
term "fairness" applies to this debate
at all.

Then tell me how you determine what
is "fair", and why you believe
the current tax rates are not "fair.".

My position is that those terms
should have nothing to do with the
issue of taxation and that the political
rhetoric of the left employs those
terms to foster class warfare and to
garner votes among those who would be
unaffected by tax increases and who
would likely benefit from increased spending
on social programs.

In other words, the traditional constituents
of the Democratic party.
