John is right. You are not communicating. To explain away the problem by equating the peaking of world oil production and its consequences to the prior peaking of US oil production and its consequences is not a form of communication. Its just gibberish. Its so nonsensical, its not worth explaining.

Apparently I'm not communicating to you, although I don't think that is through any fault of mine but rather your not paying attention to what I say and then replying anyway...

Comparing the peaking of world's oil production to the the earlier peak in American production does not, and was not an attempt to, "explain away the problem". It was rather an example of how we are not reaching a dead end. Oil production isn't going to stop or even fall off a cliff in 20, 30, or 50 years. I must say for all of my disagreements with him, John seems to understand this fact, or at least some of the people he quoted did.
