I do believe that the dollar is open for a speculative run right now, I fear I do not know who or from where the catalyst will be? It would take some pretty deep pockets to push the boulder off it's perch, and I think it would have to be based in the US. No?

No, not necessarily US based... All that really needs to happen is for investors/speculators to perceive that US$ based holding are less risky in times of uncertainty than holdings based in other currencies or lands foreign to the US. What happened in Spain today is just a small example. After the news of the bombings became known globally, there was a relatively small run on Spain's markets.
