I'd have to disagree with you. Sometimes I look at my taxbill and imagine all the wonderful things the government bought with it. Sometimes I calculate how many welfare people I'm supporting thru my tax payments. Unlike you, it actually makes me proud I'm helping out in this way and makes me feel good. Of course, it doesn't end there, but it should certainly start there.

Maybe the moral decline is with the people who don't want to cough up money for the system ?
