This applies to Globalstar and Qualcomm as well. It's about Microsoft's [Bill Gates and pals] thoughts on India. 950 million people gradually being released. India is going to take off like a rocket when the socialist/bureaucratic chains are loosened. I kid you not, it is illegal to import rupees! It seems so archaic now, the kind of costly, controlling mechanisms that the government imposes on them in a naive, but very damaging, attempt to protect India. But it was as recently as 1983 that New Zealand rules made India look like the land of the free and brave. When the changes come, they will be fast and very big. The young people, like all young people, don't cling very firmly to the old codgers' ideas and fears of foreigners and since they are vastly in the majority and gaining ground every year, it won't be long before the floodgates are opened.

Mr Adrenaline, I think you are right that "Bob" wouldn't want to be publicized, not that he told me anything at all that was proprietary information. I respect people's privacy and have been given some interesting information by email - so like to keep such people feeling that they can tell me without having their name plastered around the place. No offence taken at your "sarcasm".
