I sometimes allow myself to think similar thoughts - but the P/C ratio itself is not enough to cause the market to go down, is it. If they are merely capitalizing on market declines, then they are very astute traders and probably would enjoy working on Wall Street. I think the rise in P/C is more a result of the NYA and many sector indicies being very strongly up and a simple bowing to common sense that it was time to take some off the table after such large runs. trendvue.com Sure didn't take NYA and SPX to catch up... although still not at the levels NDX is at.
