Dear Bill: Thanks for your message. The story and headline you cited were written by the Associated Press as a sidebar to the main story and moved on the AP wire yesterday afternoon, while we were still gathering information on the case. That said, your point is well taken. There are several aspects of Ms. Lindauer's background that could be in the headline. Our online editors typically leave AP headlines alone, so that our online readers can see what AP is reporting.
