soup,

Well, you may not feel that you had much to say, but I benefitted from it. You do good pros and cons. And it's always good to hear a retail perspective from someone that knows what's up. I didn't know about the CE numbers. Is that for real?
I laughed out loud about the Rolling Stones comment (I understand Gates used to do heroin with Keith Richards during his Liverpool years (only a joke)).
I agree about the PDA's future and with what we've seen so far, Apple could lead bigtime. I think the 2000 is excellent. I've been a Newton user for years (since the 120). Most folks I talk to don't get it yet. They will. But we have some time, IMO, before the notebook loses it's importance.
True, the Market is insane. When was the last time it wasn't. But my little voice says this isn't 1987. Maybe it's because I've heard so much talk on the business channels about the similarities. My guess is when a crunch comes, (almost) nobody will see it coming. Right now, everybody's worried. I'm guessin' it's another head fake. Hope I'm right for us all.
What is your (or anyone else's) take on the 144 selling by Tevanian, Markula and Amelio? I don't care what they say about 144s not meaning anything. They always get my attention.

Regards,

Scott
