Good point Paul. The budget problem will demand cuts throughout the government. I hold positiions in DRS and NOC. , as well as the Fidelity Select Air and Defense fund (FSADX) These remain attractive to me, though i may reduce my NOC stake.
If Kerry wins, i think there threat to defense spending would be greater. If Bush wins, look out, i think defense, especially homeland security spending could increase dramatically. 9/11 occurred on his watch, and unfettered by re-election concerns, he will spend whatever he can to bolster US defenses.
I am comfortable holding my present position. then again, i am an investor not a trader and am trying to take the longer term view in a very short term oriented market. larry
