Americans overwhelmingly believe "the terrorists would prefer" Mr. Kerry to win the election.

I've been thinking about this since the attack in Spain, which was right before an election and the black-death threat against the US. It would seem that, if al Qaida wanted Kerry to be president, it would chill between now and the election. So either Spain wasn't al Qaida, al Qaida is utterly stupid, or sixty percent of poll participants are mistaken. I think we can rule out the middle one. The first is a possibility. The last is the most likely, it would seem.
