Isn't this a good thread though!!! And it gets better everyday. I see the news that Intel shrugs off daily. I'm sure they take it very seriously...but that positive news.<g> The press releases of it's biggest competitors.
Remember the news 2 months or so ago?

Motorola...THE FIRST to have a 2.5V CMOS logic device.

Digital....Patented DEC technology stolen and used in Intel Pentium processors.

Oracle & Digital make pact...Oracle Video Server on Digital's 64-bit AlphaServer platforms. The "Wintel ActiveX DEATH PILL"

Cyrix...A new .035 micron process for 166 and 180MHz MediaGX processors placed in Compaq, First International Computer, BCM Advanced Research/GVC, IBM Canada, Samsung and Tatung systems.

And to top that, National Semiconductors picks all this up after....

AMD adds Compaq, HP, And Toshiba to its own list of K6 system accounts.

They all had the Intel death pill didn't they?

Lucent has just recently announced its "system on a chip" architecture/technology. Good! In my estimation...Lucent might be better off identifying their market. Bell Labs has a whole lot of catching up to do before they can compare and compete with Moores Law.

Horray for Intel. Best wishes to all.
