Josh, Every state has a different bunch of rules on vehicle ownership, and car tags. Some have two plates, like Texas, and a lot have only one plate. In some states the plates stay with the vehicle for as long as it is active, but in Florida, the plate stays with the person, and is transferred to each new vehicle they may buy. It can be a problem trying to keep up with all the differences if you move around a lot.
