The Bush economy is not strong. Consumers are not stimulated. They're cautious. They will buy but only at steep discounts. If you charge retail you don't sell much.

One reason my friend's yacht company is hurting is that his competition has been out-sourcing to the third world while his master craftsmen in Maine build boats by hand. These jobs too are probably on their way out, at least if Bush-Cheney types stay in control. They simply dont care about American workers. Not even about white collar workers.
