Of course Lizzie - you do not demonstrate any knowledge of a diverse economy. Steel is only one part of the economy in north east Ohio. While steel is doing well here the area is handicapped by many problems inherent in big union democratic industrial cities. Most companies can do business more profitably else where. Hopefully that is changing. Basically our city is cursed by a democratic heritage of big unions and the ills that go with it. Notable signs of life are Progressive Insurance and MBNA - both headquartered in the area - and yes booming as well. They are constantly building - and adding jobs.
