I agree... There are several technology areas that are on the verge of emerging with related, and in some cases dependent functionalities.
They are Desktop PCs, Home TVs, video games, home entertainment (VCRs and etc.) and vehicle navigational positioning. All require fast communication, data storage, visual imagery, and in some cases, wireless communication. Then on the other hand there is just plain
point-to-point communication of data, voice, and visual. Will this be cable, fiber optic, or whatever?

With AT&T and the Bells trying to sort out territories, there appears to be a window for upstart firms if they can come up with solit technology, management ad distribution channels.
