Partly true. while it is a race to the bottom for American standard of living, it is a climb to the top for societies where these jobs are being outsourced to. Not only that, it is back to economic imperialism which we noticed during colonialization.

So globalization as interpreted by the Bushies is synonymous with economic imperialism where a select group gets richer. But there is a better aspect of globalization wherein the overall standard of the poorer countries can be brought to par with those of countries such as the US.
