Barron's micro mini review: Awful issue this week. Little meat and the broth was too salty <G>. 1. Alan Newman and Fred Hickey make fun of Mama and the idiots who bought it in Abelson's column. 2. Some goof says that credit fears are overstated. 4Q, corporate credit growth was just 3% last year. So, if the 900 pound man only gains 2.7 pounds in a quarter, that means we no longer need to be concerned about his health? Moronic to the nth degree. 3. Prechter is super bullish. Gotcha! 4. We're running out of oil. duh!!! 5. Big article about a co. I can't comment on. 6. Kerry vs. Bush and the markets. Sounds good. Isn't. 7. Emerging market debt guy who only buys distressed securities. One bright light in a dull issue of Barron's. 8. A good letter from John Pilafas who says that if the dollar declines another 50%, it will help our exports. I like the cut of his jib. <G> 9. The Commodities section was kind of blah. Lumber has gone way up, could go down, but might keep going up. One little blurb mentions that live cattle futures are now all the way back from the first finding of Mad Cow in the USA. I am patting myself on the back for that one. Oooh, all that patting made my Arthur Itis act up, so I'm signing off. <G>
