LOOK AS At the post as it was written!

"In today's IBD in the Perspective column the following numbers are reported:"

Now I guess I could excuse you for being too stupid to know that IBD is Investor's Business Dailey. But heck, anyone with the knowledge and experience you claim - and is sophisticated enough to be short the market know what IBD is.

So - apologize for calling me a liar and go find better numbers!

And they don't mention the tax hikes are only for the rich.
Let's look at some numbers on the revenue impact of Bush's tax cuts. In today's IBD in the Perspective column the following numbers are reported:

1. Return the top tax brackets to the Clinton level: 35% goes to 39.6%, 33% to 36% with dividends taxed as well -- $27 billion. Only $27 billion out of $477.00. H'mm that sure would not fund any new spending.

2. Repeal the 15% dividend rate for everyone else and returning the capital gains tax to 20% - raises $20 billion.

Total of the two would be $47 billion - and that would also tax some of us mere mortals.

So - clearly, unless there are radically different other numbers - taxing the rich like Clinton won't solve anything.

So - how do we fund the Kerry spending plan?
