Amen tonto! My biggest disappointment with Bush has been spending. If the excuse was to stimulate the economy out of recession that excuse is gone. It is now all about what comes next in spending and taxing. We need a high growth economy - such is best achieved in a low and stable tax environment. I personally favor a flat tax where no one escapes the percentage levy with loop holes and deductions.

What we need in this country is honest debate over many critical issues. Such a debate with a polarized nation appears to be impossible.

The left on this board loves to site Alan Greenspans comments on the deficit. They fail to mention that Alan's answer is to cut spending.
