Thank you for this...finding reliable information has been a chore related to this company. You seem familiar with Israeli firms...Do you happen to know how they treat R&D expenses, etc.? I cannot help notice the small bottom line figure off their web site, and wonder exactly what cost structure their revenues have to be washed through.

That said, I was astounded when I learned that Microsoft was planning on using M-systems' memory for the next generation of the X-box and forgo hard drives all together. If, indeed, the Sandisks and M-systems have attained a memory capacity comparable to a moving, risky hard drive, then the value of the investment could be substantial. Another gripe I have with their filings is the lack of a substantive MD&A. I do not know who their competitors are. As you alluded to, Intel has largely ignored this space, but I cannot believe that American/Asian entrepreneurs have not attempted to explore high-scale solid state memory. Yet every fab group I look at makes no mention of building this specific type of memory chips. I apologize for the length of this; it is something of a stream of consciousness. I know that both Ericcson and Nokia had a strong interest in chip design, but Ericcson seems to have instead focused on software via its alignment with Microsoft. I guess this niche is just screaming for more investigation...
