With Kerry, we have to be patient. We all know from our past experiences, that Kerry, the nominee, is going to be different from Kerry, vying to be the nominee. He will put his teams i n place soon; his foreign policy team, his economic team, his health care and social issues team etc. And then from here on out, these teams will draft Kerry's message along with all the party folks. And I would assume he would start to lay these out in May and June. Any challenger takes that route.

Meantime, an incumbent just runs on his record. Off course, the challenger as the name suggests, challenges the record. As an example, Kerry has challenged Bush on his conduct of the war, not for going to war. He has said that if he were in Bush's position he would attempt "to exhaust all means" and not rush to war as Bush did. So here is a clear alternative. He would have slowed down, he would have verified intelligence reports, he would get the commitment of young lives from other countries instead of just a few and for the most part American young men and women etc. So here it is for a start.

And on the economy, the Democrats are on their way. People don't perceive economy as something which will be a problem with the Democrats.
