I know it by looking at the numbers and the quality of the market makers. Beyond that, I don't know it but it does tell you a lot. i think that the public makes a mistake by buying stocks directly from market makers. If a broker likes an OTC stock, let him/her give you an opinion on a stock that they do not make a market in...at least then they avoid one conflict of interest. I say,do your research, get your opinions. make your decisions, blame no one else if they go wrong and trade electronically through a good service like E-Trade. You can follow broker opinions through Bloomberg if you think they are important. L8R
