But if Al Qaeda (or at least some AQ franchise) has the wit to make a political attack, why have the last two years of attacks been so politically stupid? Bali, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey...they even blew up a French oil tanker. This was the first attack with a clear political purpose. Why hasn't AQ been concentrating on the US, Britain, Australia, etc?
