however will pretty much mean the end of civilization for an entire region--which means we are all toast. The caldera when Yellowstone last produced a Supervolcano was hundreds of miles wide. Animals on the plains of Iowa and Nebraska died from lung-bleeding (inhalation of sharp airborne material)

New Zealand also has a supervolcano site.

Basically what I'm trying to say is if Yellowstone produced a Supervolcano, populations from Denver to Chicago would be at risk.

And Jim Sinclair would care little about gold--it would all be about corn! at that point...
