It's not a complicated web, it's common sense.
The energy crisis was phony. Who else had the power, motive and will to do such a thing during a prsidential campaign in which two Texas oilmen were running for the most powerful job in the world? This was a once in a lifetime chancefor the energy cartel to grab money and power fast, as only they know how to do. When the energy cartel wants to gouge, they can, so long as they have united all possible competition and the collusion is complete. With Bush-cheney running and Enron engineering things, it WAS complete. Though the target was California, it went far beyond that.
