Abgenix to Hold Private Job Fair to Recruit for Large Number of Jobs in Manufacturing and Quality
Who: Abgenix, a Fremont-based biopharmaceutical company, is hosting one of the largest local job fairs to date for biotechnology manufacturing and quality. President and CEO Raymond Withy, Ph.D., will be available for photographs and interviews, along with Fremont Mayor Gus Morrison, who will attend the event on behalf of the City of Fremont.
What: Abgenix is holding a job fair for its new, state-of-the-art, 100,000-square foot biologics manufacturing facility, which recently received a California Construction "Best of 2003" award. Abgenix plans to increase its workforce at the site by more than 20% and is looking for talented candidates to fill dozens of positions in manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, and other areas. Abgenix currently employs approximately 400 workers in Fremont.
