We would have better off had Spain not participated in Iraq in the first place.

The Al Q papers the Danes found and translated said the number two reason for the attack was to cause a "domino effect" in other European countries. I am afraid it will. They know if they are hit by an attack, their voters will want them to back off also.

The ominous thing here is that polls consistently show that Democratic voters rank the war on terror very low on their lists of things we need to do. The Republicans are on the opposite end of the scale. Support for this war has been very "squishy" by the left in this country, with a few "Scoop Jackson" Democrats out there, and an enormous number of people who would also prefer we back off or quit going after the Terrorists.
